Nigerian Man gets his parents arrested after he came back from Italy...His reason would leave you in tears

A Nigerian man based in Italy has reportedly gotten his 65 year old father and 56 year old mum arrested for allegedly sending him pictures of a fake house they were building for him while in Italy. Facebook user, Nnamdi Victor who shared the story online wrote;
'One of us just locked his parents up in police cell. His 65 year old father and 56 year old mother slept in police cell last night with an instruction that anyone who comes close to bail them should be locked up too. I know what the parents did are wrong but I have been pleading with him since last week not to toe this path. There are many ways to solve issues like this.If your parents do same to you, would you have done exactly what he did or you would have handled it differently? Hear him :"Ben, I'm sorry I have to do what I did. You won't understand how painful it is to be hustling here only to find out that my stupid and greedy parents were just wasting all my efforts on frivolities. Like you already know, I have been in Italy doing all kinds of menial jobs just to put food on my table and make some savings. I have been here for six good years but I have never visited Nigeria. I have been sending some cash to my parents to help me buy two plots of land and start building on it for all of us because we have suffered enough as a family, paying rent always.Ben do you know that my foolish parents only bought one plot of land and nothing has been going on there apart from the initial foundation.? In fact they started the foundation recently when they knew I will be visiting Nigeria. They have been sending me fake pictures of my house. Bro I'm mad. I don't know what they used all the money for. They don't know how I managed to make these savings. Omg I just wasted six years in Italy without anything to show for it. If I can't trust my own parents, who then can I trust?I will spend the remaining money I have with me on police to make sure they remained there until I go back to start a new hustle. Please Ben if you have a trusted lady in her late thirties who can build with me, kindly hook me up to her. I can't trust these foolish parents of mine again."

''It is too late to pull out of Nigeria'' - Lagos Igbo lawmaker advices Ndigbo

A Lagos lawmaker, Mr Jude Idimogu, on Saturday, said it was too late for the Igbo nation to pull out of Nigeria. Idimogu, representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, in Lagos said that secession would be injurious to the Igbos.

He said: “As a full blooded Igbo man and a Nigerian, I believe, Igbo staying in Nigeria as an entity will prosper the Igbo nation better than pulling out.

“After the 1967 Civil war, the Igbo man started all over again to build up; now Igbo nation has made progress in terms of economy and politics.

“Though the Igbo nation has not reached where it is expected to be politically, we should dialogue rather than be creating war scenarios.

‘’It is too late to pull out (of Nigeria), Igbo nation has united Nigeria because they have businesses everywhere in this country,” the lawmaker said.

The lawmaker urged Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to rescind from any action that could create enmity against Igbos around the country.

He urged the Igbo nation to unite with other ethnic groups in the country to articulate their grievances and actualised their dreams.

“My children were born in Lagos and some of them don’t even know their state of origin, they speak Yoruba and so many Igbo children are like that across the North and West.

“We have our future in Nigeria. The only thing Igbo nation should fight for is political power not by creating war scenario but by merging with other nations/tribes in Nigeria – the Northerners and Westerners.

“Most Igbos, over 50 per cent, don’t even believe in Biafra because they have counted the cost from 1970 after the war till 2017. No one wants to go back to square one; it is not possible.

“As a person, I am against it; what the Igbo man should struggle for in this entity are equality, fairness and justice, not pulling out.

“It is very late to pull out, it will be difficult because majority of us are not ready to fight any war; I don’t want to lose my life nor my sons and daughter in war; I believe we can make Nigeria our home,’’ he said.

According to him, even if the Igbo nation wants to pull out of Nigeria, it is not going to be overnight or by aggression, rather it should be via a friendly and democratic process.

“Kanu should calm down, unite with Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a tree cannot make a forest,” the lawmaker said.

Ndigbo Will Suffer If Elections Do Not Hold In Anambra - Gov. Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano has vowed not to allow the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB repeat the mistake made by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB who dissuaded the people from coming out during the last national census.

Obiano who spoke during his visit to an erosion site at Odume Layout, Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, while responding to the statement by the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu that there would be no election in the state in particular and in Southeast zone which he described as Biafra land, said:

“there is going to be an election on that day. Whoever says there will be no election is not carrying the interest of the people at heart”.

According to Obiano: “we will not repeat what happened during the national census period in the years back here in the state when those who called themselves MASSOB disrupted the exercise in Igbo land and the consequences of that disruption led to rating our population figure very low which is what we are still suffering today because we were counted less than what we are.”

The governor appealed to the electorate to vote for him on November 18, during the state gubernatorial election in the state for sustaining the good governance he inherited.
